Bami’s Severe Condition
Bami, a dog with extremely tangled hair, arrived at the Korean Animal Welfare Association center. The staff was surprised by the severity of his condition. His matted fur impeded his movement and caused significant discomfort.
Grooming Challenges
Director Kim faced significant challenges in grooming Bami. The matted fur was so severe that it prevented proper skin ventilation. This condition could potentially lead to skin diseases and blood circulation issues.
Careful and Painful Process
The grooming process was painstakingly slow and delicate. Frequent breaks were necessary to calm Bami and avoid injury. The tightly tangled hair made it difficult to cut through, especially around the legs and toenails.

After a long and difficult grooming session, Bami’s fur was finally removed. This revealed his true appearance and significantly lightened his load. The transformation led to visible relief and comfort for Bami.
New Beginning for Bami (Saeroi)
Following the grooming, Bami, now renamed Saeroi, adapted well to the center. He became bright and playful. The staff hopes he will find a loving new owner. They express support for Saeroi and other animals at the center.
